Directions by Car
From the New York Thruway (I87) to New World:
From the south (NYC, New Jersey, etc):
- exit 20 (Saugerties / Woodstock)
- Left off exit onto Rt. 212 toward Woodstock.
- 5 miles to New World, on the left.
From the north (Albany, Mass Pike, etc):
- exit 20 (Saugerties / Woodstock)
- Left off exit, 1/4 mile to traffic light
- Right at light onto Rt. 212 toward Woodstock.
- 4.7 miles to New World, on the left.
From NY Thruway (I87) to the Caigans':
- From the north or south, take I87 to Exit 19
(Kingston)
- From Exit 19, continue from toll booths to traffic circle.
At traffic circle, take first right, Route 28 West.
- Continue on 28 West 5.9 miles.
- Right at light onto Route 375 toward Woodstock.
- Go 1 mile on Route 375. Along the way you will pass a
Getty station and the Hurley Ridge Market. Go another 1/10th of
a mile. The road will curve to the left, then to the right. At the curve
to the right, watch for
a white picket fence on the right side. Driveway for #203
is on the right in the middle of the fence.
From New World to the Caigans':
- Left from parking lot onto 212; go 3.5 miles.
- Left on 375
- After 1.5 miles, driveway for 203 is on left, through a white picket fence.
From the Caigans' to New World:
- Right from driveway onto 375.
- At end of 375, turn right onto 212.
- 3.5 miles on 212, then right into New World parking lot.
Airports
From Stewart Airport, Newburgh, NY
Get directions to New York State Thruway (I87)
and take it north as described above.
It's about 31 miles on the thruway to exit 19.
From Albany Airport, Albany, NY
Get directions to New York State Thruway (I87)
and take it south as described above.
It's about 41 miles on the thruway to exit 20.
From other NY airports (JFK, LaGuardia, Newark):
Get directions to New York State Thruway (I87)
and take it north as described above.
Exit 19 is about 90 miles once you're on the thruway.
Train
The Rhinecliff, NY Amtrak station is about 17 miles (about 35 minutes)
from Woodstock. Taxis are available from the station, but likely to
be very expensive to Woodstock.
